ITS MONDAY NOW. so i've been gone for 2 whole days huh. saturday, rot at home till 4, went to meet Xinpei, Chaoyi, Jonathan, Wilson and Zhenyang. train-ed to City Hall. met the China guy, and he led us to the door, "Staff Only". OMG, cool huh? and Xinpei was so excited. she's like HAHAHA, I CAN GO IN, YOU CANNOT! HAHAHAHAH. ROFL. she said something like, behind the scenes people. yea, queued to sign in. our (Xinpei, Chaoyi and mine) tcc cards were rejected. Chaoyi's one solved, and we got neglected. like, wth? it took about 30 minutes for us to get inside.

okay, got in. got our uniforms, changed in a yellow locker room. no locker for us as we were part timers. put on our uniform, and i was like, OMG, how do i look? do i look like one of them? haha. well, of course. haha. ate in the tuck room. free food and drinks. okay, so there were 5 weddings that day. went up to the ballrooms, where most of us got separated. Xinpei was with Wilson at Canning, Chaoyi and Zhenyang at Collyer, Jonathan at Padang and i'm at Atrium.. i had to survive the battle alone! it was difficult at first. anyways, the experience was worth a try.

served the first course. OH MY FUCKING LORD-Y COOL. dimmed house lights, colourful spotlights at the door with fun music like on the runway? i've always been the one sitting around the round table and never served those. my first time, i swear the tray was uber heavy, and theres a ball of colourful light on each tray. i was the second to enter. totally stunned. every pair of eyes on us. but it was cool. i was kind of afraid of mistakes. tripping over, spilling food onto the guests and stuff? i was lucky enough to pair up with Yalei, a pretty experienced staff. she said she's been working there for half a year now. yea.

my favourite part was the dessert. EVEN COOLER THAN ANY OTHER DISH. CAKE ON FIRE! description : rectangle shaped ice cream cake with 10 cherries, a hot lamp with a small bottle of hot alcohol, a box of match sticks. first time Yalei is serving this too.

so i took it onto the lazy susan. pour the alcohol into the lamp, it is freaking hot! so the tissue comes in handy. light the matchstick, light the alcohol. so fire in the lamp is pretty cool. carrying the lamp by its handle with a piece of tissue. and the tissue got burnt. i was actually panicking inside, keeping my cool when all 10 pairs of eyes were on me, i just tried to put it off and continue with what i had to do, pour it onto the cake. success. after the amazement, the fire went off, parts of the whipped cream around the cake got burnt. i had to cut and distribute it into 10 pieces. i swear the ice cream hasnt melt a bit. quite embarassing when i was trying to cut it. but yea, they didnt mind me.

throughout the night, my back hurts the most. when bending to portion the food. my feet hurts a little because of the court shoes. honestly, my other colleagues are wearing flats! wasted my money buying a court shoe for about 25 bucks.

so we got changed, and tried to find a way out, with the FOLLOW THE CROWD BASIS, and we end up at the other side of Raffles City. finally, after walking almost one big round around Raffles City, we fount the MRT station. we missed the last train. i think we can actually catch it if Jonathan didnt make me run up the escalator. i was a quarter way down to the interchange, and Jonathan says " buy drinks first ". great, i had to run up the escalator. and well, not only i got embarassed, Chaoyi too. so they went to get some drinks at McDonald's. the glass door says PULL, Chaoyi confidently run towards the glass door positioned to push it, when it doesnt move a bit. and he stayed there for about 5 seconds when i went up to another door, and pull it. kind of give him a face since he laughed at me so hardly when i ran up the escalator. and yea, only then we realized we missed the last train. you know, NO MORE TRAIN HOME! we randomly took a bus that can take us nearer home, Bishan. at least its nearer. so after the ride, end up at Bishan interchange, sat there like 6 beggars. blank in the head. no idea of how to get home.

solution : Jonathan's father drove to pick him and Zhenyang, Chaoyi is a must to cab home. i have no idea how Xinpei got home, while Wilson cabbed me home. yea, he actually paid for the taxi fee for me cos the taxi went to send me first, then him. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

so i got home, everyone's asleep, had to wake sissie up to open the door for me. well, aunty didnt let me bring the key, and insisted that everyone will still be up till i get home. it was almost 3 when i got to bed last night. super duper tired.

today, went to the National Museum with Emily, Valerie and Stephanie. worse thing to forget, DSLR! i just checked whether the battery was sufficient before i left, and i forgot to bring it out with me! OMFG, how can this happen?

met with Tubby the Robot first, and then the Broom People. friendly caucasian performers. Tubby speaks very robot-ish. well, he is supposed to be a robot. LOL. Val actually took a picture with him, and he says " this is the picture with the lady, i met with on the bridge". haha, very cute i must say. he goes " hello little boy" like so many times as there were so many little boys around. oh yea, and theres this old man who talks with Tubby. "ooh, i like your grey hair". hilarious much. okay, the broom people. clowns with brooms.

had McDonald's at Plaza Singapura. topped up my ez-link card, and that stupid machine ate my 2 bucks. _l_ i'm already so poor now, and this is happening to me?
